The Skye: Dining at Lahore’s Highest Rooftop Restaurant
You’ll feel like you’re dining on top of the world when you visit The Skye at Four Points by Sheraton, the highest rooftop restaurant in Lahore, Pakistan. Overlooking the historic and iconic Badshahi Masjid mosque and Mughal-era monument, this 360-degree vantage point provides one of the best views of the city available in all of Pakistan. The same cannot be said about food, but the vibrant flavors found within the homey confines of The Skye are nothing to scoff at either.
The Location
The Skye is a restaurant and bar located on top of the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore. The restaurant has a spectacular view of the city and is set up on three open-air terraces which offer sweeping views over the city. It is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or dine with family or friends. The food options are varied, with dishes from all over Asia and Europe, as well as some of Pakistan’s specialties. They offer an eclectic mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, so there is something for everyone!
The Skye has an exclusive membership policy which means that only members can reserve tables or access certain areas of the restaurant.
The Atmosphere
The sky is a dark blue, the stars are shining bright and it feels like you’re on top of the world. The atmosphere is electrifying. You can feel the energy in the air as people chat, laugh, and enjoy themselves with their friends and family. The view is magnificent and it makes you forget that there are any problems in this world because everything looks so perfect.
There are a variety of different restaurants available but what really caught my attention was The Skye’s rooftop restaurant. It has an infinity pool that overlooks all of Lahore, a bar, live entertainment, and delicious food with a spectacular view; it doesn’t get better than this! The Skye’s rooftop restaurant, which I am lucky enough to call my favorite place in the world, is located up in the sky and I could spend every night gazing into the beautiful night sky without ever getting bored. The food is mouth-watering and the views from every seat are breathtaking. In addition to being one of
the best restaurants in Pakistan, The Skye also offers numerous other services such as a bar where you can sit and watch TV while enjoying your drink or order your favorite cocktail while having some appetizers. On Thursday nights they offer live music performances by Pakistani artists who will sing your favorite songs for hours until midnight when the DJ starts playing his own remixes to keep you going for another few hours into the morning. The best part about The Skye? Everything!
The Menu
The food served at The Skye is an eclectic mix of modern and traditional and features a wide variety of dishes from different cultures. Classic Pakistani dishes like Tandoori Chicken, Haleem, and Biryani are available alongside other favorites such as Pesto Pasta and Grilled Lamb Chops. You can find the perfect dish for any occasion on The Skye’s menu, so stop by today to try something new! The Skye may be reached by car or taxi (parking is limited). The fare will vary depending on where you are going. It’s always best to ask the driver before getting in the cab.
The restaurant is easily accessible on foot or by bike, but I would suggest taking public transport as it might take more than an hour otherwise! The Skye has one outdoor seating area with covered seating which makes it great for outdoor dining even during the winter months. There is also plenty of seating indoors too if you want to escape the elements!
The bathrooms are clean and well maintained with a strong air freshener scent so no worries about having bad breath after your meal.
The service at The Skye was amazing everyone was very friendly and helpful without being overbearing.
The Experience
The sky is a canvas, and in the best company, this is where you can find yourself. The Skye is a rooftop restaurant with a view that surpasses all expectations. It overlooks the city of Lahore like an old friend welcoming you back home. As you take your seat amongst the stars far away from the city lights below food is served up on platters of love. The journey starts with our signature light bites and alcohol that get your taste buds ready for what’s to come.
Followed by a selection of hot and cold appetizers, salads, and mains from around the world; there’s something here for everyone to enjoy. The desserts are the perfect way to end a meal; it will be hard not to order one (or two) of everything we have on offer. With the views, The Skye provides the whole experience of dining out is breathtaking but so too are their dishes which will leave you feeling satisfied without feeling full.
The View
The sky and the city of Lahore from The Skye are breathtaking. The view is unobstructed, and the food is delicious. The fact that this restaurant sits on top of the Pearl Continental hotel makes it even more special because it affords an amazing view of all that goes on in the bustling city below.
The staff is attentive, helpful, and hospitable. They are also well versed in English, which makes any interaction with them much easier than other restaurants in Pakistan that have staff that speak little to no English. The service is so good you’ll feel like royalty!
