Qourdle Review: A Fun and Challenging New Word Game

If you’re the type of person who loves word games, you may have already heard about Qourdle, a new word game that’s taken the word-game world by storm! This interactive puzzle game combines anagrams, crosswords, and word searches in one dynamic app. And with thousands of levels to choose from, it can keep your brain occupied for hours on end. It’s available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store; be sure to check out this review before diving in!

Qourdle Review: A Fun and Challenging New Word Game

I recently came across a new game called Qourdle on Kickstarter. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but the more I read about the game, the more intrigued I became. Qourdle is a word-building game that challenges players to create words using tiles with letters on them. The player has to combine the tiles in order to make as many words as possible within a given time limit. It’s similar to Boggle or Scrabble, but with a time limit, which makes it even more challenging!

The theme of this game is pretty clever while one person builds words by letter blocks in a grid, their opponent has to guess what they are creating. One of the biggest downfalls for me was that there is no official rule book available for this game so players need to get creative with building words and strategies. There is also no way to add custom words into the game, making it difficult if you are looking for extra help when playing against someone who knows all of the proper rules.

I was happy with my decision in backing this project because not only did I receive a copy of Qourdle as promised, but backers also received two expansion packs at no additional cost. Overall, if you enjoy word games then you should definitely check out Qourdle because not only does it provide hours of fun, but there is still plenty more to explore after mastering basic rules.

How to Play

  1. Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
  2. Choose a category for your word game, such as sports.
  3. Select a difficulty level, such as easy.
  4. Watch letters scramble on the screen and tap them to spell words when they’re close enough together to make sense.
  5. Use power-ups to help you out if you get stuck!
  6. Get an achievement after every set number of rounds you play!
  7. Share your high scores with friends on social media or over email!

The Good

Qourdle Review: A Fun and Challenging New Word Game

I really enjoy word games, so I was excited to try out Qourdle. The game is a lot like Scrabble in that players use letters on a board to form words, but the major difference is that each letter has been assigned a numerical value, which determines how many points it’s worth.

For example, if you play the word sun it will be worth three points for using the S, U, and N. Players take turns placing letters on spaces on the board until all of them have been used up or they can’t place anymore because they are blocked by other letters. They also earn points at the end of each round based on how many words they’ve formed. The first person to reach 100 points wins!

The Bad

Unfortunately, Qourdle is not a very good game. The gameplay is not challenging or interesting, the graphics are simple and unappealing, and there’s nothing new to do after you’ve played through all the levels.

I played Qourdle because it was free on my phone but I won’t be playing it again. If you’re looking for a fun word game, try Words With Friends. You’ll have more variety and better graphics than with Qourdle. It costs $2.99, but if you play every day and make an average of 30 moves per day, then it will only cost about 50 cents per day.

There are many other games like this that you can find in app stores like Words with Friends which has almost as many users as Twitter (and also costs $2.99), Draw Something, which is like Pictionary, or Drop7 which sounds similar to Tetris except that instead of falling blocks there are colored balls that fall down numbered columns (also $2.99).

In the end, this game is a lot of fun. It tests your knowledge of vocabulary and spelling in an interactive way that brings you to a whole new level. However, it also gives you hints if you ever get stuck on words. Qourdle can be used by people at any age level, even those who aren’t great spellers or word learners like myself. Overall, I would recommend this game for anyone looking for a new challenge or who just wants some extra time to work on their vocabulary skills!
